Description
Originating in Thailand (then called Siam), the Siamese is elegant, slender and enchanting. Without the traditional colourpoints on their ears, face, feet and tail, they're known as Oriental cats. All Siamese kittens are white at birth, and only develop their distinctive markings as they mature. Known as one of the most demanding breeds of cat, the Siamese is intelligent, inquisitive and very vocal. Not for the 'part time' cat owner, he needs a huge amount of attention to keep him from becoming bored and destructive, and can be very temperamental. Siamese cats also need a lot of care to keep them healthy, as they're of quite delicate dispositions. Nonetheless, if you select a Siamese cat as your family pet, you'll be rewarded by an entertaining and highly affectionate cat.
