The Scottish Fold originated in Scotland, and displays the quirky trait of having folded down ears. They can be found as short-haired or long-haired varieties, but whatever the length of their coat, they're strong and robust, with rounded faces and large, expressive eyes. Despite the fact that they're placid and gentle, they form strong bonds with their owners and are generally sweet and good natured. Not very vocal, when your Scottish Fold does deign to 'speak' to you, it's something to feel honoured about.
