Description
The Ragdoll breed originated in California, USA, in the 1960s, and are similar in looks to the Birman, but bigger and heavier. The result of a successful attempt to breed a cat with a calm and gentle disposition, Ragdolls are so relaxed that they go completely limp in your arms when you pick them up. A Ragdoll's docile temperament and friendly disposition make him perfect as a family pet, and he's also very easy to train. Although he thrives on interaction with his owners, he's not a demanding cat and is happy enough to be left alone to snooze.
