German Shepherd Dog

Description The German Shepherd Dog is a common pet and working dog. He is a great all round breed that is generally perfect in character, have impeccable intelligence and stunningly handsome when raised well. He is one of the most valued members of the military and police force and has also been employed as therapy and guide dogs for unwell and disabled owners. This dog can be formidable or gentle dependent on his role.
He can be aloof and suspicious of strangers and for this reason is good for personal protection. He will adore any children in his family and carefully guard them from strangers. He must always be watched with kids though, for his sake, for young humans can be unpredictable. He is highly intelligent and trainable and will need a good run every day.
The German shepherd has been badly bred in the past leaving the breed susceptible to hip and joint problems. Therefore if you are looking for a puppy he must be perfectly and ethically bred to avoid encouraging breeding dogs in poor health.
This dog is a nice companion and well-socialized he will make a fantastic family pet.
