Description
The Toy Poodle is intelligent, warm, playful and friendly.
The smallest of the poodle breeds he will learn quickly and is keen to participate in positive training sessions. He loves a walk and generally has few recall problems though can possibly develop some wildlife chase.
The poodle will need brushing regularly and left unclipped you may not even recognize the breed as their hair will continue to grow until it is very long. Socially he is generally great with other pets of any type or size though may not be keen to share his owners lap. He will enjoy contact with children and will relish physical touch. Young kids need to be monitored around him though to prevent clumsy handling and injury.
He will need training to prevent the development of excess barking, it is a trait that he can easily learn. He may also suffer from anxiety when left alone which could result in destructive behavior. The little poodle is a great house guest and member of the family, with a short walk each day and some playtime he will be happy to spend the remainder of the day settled with his people.
