Write for Pets Please

Pets Please publishes original, long-form pet-care journalism for Australian readers. If you can teach something our classifieds-era audience still needs — how to choose a puppy without funding a farm, how to keep a cat indoors without making it miserable, how a council registration actually works — we want the pitch.

What we commission

What we will not run

Links, bios and disclosure

Accepted pieces may carry a two-sentence author bio. One relevant homepage, clinic, shelter or professional profile link is usually enough. Paid, affiliate, sponsored or guest-posting-service links must be disclosed and will be published with rel="sponsored". We may strip links that do not help the reader.

If you are pitching through a content agency, say so. A sample of the kind of commercial placement we mark as sponsored is a guest posting marketplace such as Worldwide Backlinks.

How to pitch

  1. Check our topic hubs so you are not repeating a live guide.
  2. Send a working title, a 150-word outline, and why you are the person to write it.
  3. If we like the outline we will ask for a full draft in Markdoc or Word.
  4. Edits are normal. Publication sits with Pets Please.

Guest post submission form

This form posts to our contact desk and is delivered to support@worldwidebacklinks.com. Do not attach the full manuscript until we ask for it.

People also ask

Does Pets Please accept guest posts?

Yes. We accept original long-form guides on Australian pet care. Pitches should be exclusive to Pets Please, written in Australian English, and useful to a family who actually lives with an animal.

Do published guest posts include a backlink?

A short author bio may include one relevant homepage or profile link. Commercial, affiliate and paid links are marked rel="sponsored" and may be declined.

What topics are most likely to be commissioned?

State-specific ownership law, parasite prevention, indoor-cat wildlife issues, ethical sourcing of puppies and kittens, small-pet husbandry, and practical rescue or rental guides.
